Photography Camping Adventure
Workshop with Thor & Nick Page
* Camping gear not included
Join Thor and Nick Page on a unique camping, hiking and landscape photography workshop in Iceland.
In this workshop we will be visiting some of the most beautiful locations Iceland has to offer, while keeping a flexible Itinerary to make the most of the weather mother nature gives us.
Travelling to Iceland:
You will want to fly into Keflavík ariport. From there we recommend either using taxi or the fly bus to get to the hotel in Reykjavík (about 40 min drive)
Physical Requirements:
This workshop will include some moderate hikes on uneven ground and loose gravel. We'll not take on any serious hikes but getting to a little bit elevated view in the highlands is very rewarding and gives you a great and unique perspective. You need to be able to carry your own equipment during the hikes, which some are up steep hills.
Note: we do not aim for more than 1 -2 hour hikes for each location but there are options :)
Where will be staying:
Hotel for the first and the last night is all we know for sure.
Single room options available for the hotels in Reykjavík at the beginning and end of the workshop. - SGL adds $300 USD
In a nutshell
On this 9 day adventure with Nick Page and Thor we will be travelling in Iceland but unlike most regular workshops we will not have a set itinerary. This tour is lightweight and agile. Our flexible Itinerary will allow us to make the most of the weather we are given and go where the weather will be best for our photography and camping. The main driving force behind our itinerary will be the Icelandic weather forecast. We can go anywhere, any time!
Early August is a great time to visit and camp out in Iceland plus it's pretty much guaranteed that most if not all of the roads in the highlands are open.
Our goal for this workshop is to split our time between the highlands in the interior, and some of the beautiful waterfalls and seascapes around the coasts, but as already mentioned this Itinerary will remain fluid and flexible to allow us to make the most of the weather we are given, and go where the weather will be the best for our photographic goals!
This workshop is covering some of the best areas in the Iceland, but since the weather can be changeable in Iceland we try our best to keep one step ahead and plan our locations accordingly.
